Hike

Come discover the pleasures of hiking at the Brussels Games 2010.

We tempt you to appreciate the beauty of the Foret de Soignes, Bois de la Cambre and the Robinson Chalet during our +/- 10 km hike.

The Foret de Soignes, also called the "green lung of Brussels", is located in the southeast of the capital. Including some remaining forest parks and private woodlands it covers nearly 5,000 hectares. The Foret de Soignes is specially positioned on the edge of Brussels, connected by the Bois.

The famous boats in the ponds in the Bois de la Cambre have been renovated to take passengers to a wonderful chalet, the Robinson Chalet, located on a magical island in one of the most beautifully landscaped parks in Europe. The Robinson Chalet is open to the public and includes a restaurant, a family tea room and a pier for boating.

Registration is free but booking is essential (bring the sum of +/- 4 euros for 2 tickets for tram).

The day of the hike

The meeting place is set for the VUB campus, pedestrian entrance No. 9 at 1:30 pm at the corner of Boulevard Général Jacques and Avenue du Deuxième Régiment de Lanciers. At 2:00 pm, we will start the hike (+/- 3 hours).
